Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Sharma is accomplished professional, and a committed institution builder with over 17 years of diverse experience across both corporate and higher education sectors. He holds an MBA in Marketing and a Ph.D. in Management, and has completed the Faculty Development Program (FDP) from IIM Ahmedabad.
As Associate Dean he plays a key leadership role in driving institutional growth through strong industry integration. He is actively involved in corporate relations, enhancing student employability, and building meaningful stakeholder relationships, while also contributing to academic planning and institutional development. Over the years, he has played a significant role in strengthening industry–academia partnerships, improving placement outcomes.
His teaching and training interests include Personal Effectiveness Management, Marketing, Business Communication, Soft Skills, and Human Resource Management. He has conducted over 500 student development programs across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, mentoring thousands of students with a focus on overall personality development and leadership readiness. He has also contributed to curriculum development, particularly in the area of Business Communication for the IBS PGPM program.
Before moving into academia, Dr. Sharma gained rich industry experience across Hospitality, Microfinance, and Education sectors, where he worked in areas such as Business Development, Sales & Marketing, and Operations. This strong industry grounding enables him to bring practical insights into the classroom and design learning experiences that are aligned with real-world expectations.
Dr. Sharma has been awarded with the Best Teacher Award for Institution Building by the IBS Alumni Federation, recognizing his valuable contributions to the growth and development of the institution, and he is also a National Level Sports player.

Vivek Modi | Class of 1998 | IBS Ahmedabad
Vivek is an alumnus from the Class of 1998 of IBS Ahmedabad. He completed Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering in year 1994, before pursuing management education from IBS, in the year 1998 he became a Chartered Financial analyst (CFA).
He has earlier worked with Tata Elxsi Ltd. as a Sr. Product Manager and Real Image Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd. He is currently working as a General Manager with Reliance Entertainment.
Peyush Tandon | Class of 1998 | Ahmedabad
Peyush is an alumnus from the Class of 1998 of IBS Ahmedabad. He completed Bachelor Degree in commerce before coming to IBS campus. He is currently working as DGM – Finance & Treasury with CLP Power India. He was earlier with Gujarat Powergen Energy Corporation.
Prasad Madineni | Class of 2000 | IBS Ahmedabad
Prasad is an alumnus from the Class of 2000 of IBS Ahmedabad. He completed his Bachelor Degree in Science in the year 1997 and then went on to pursue his PGDBA from IBS. He is presently in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA working for Tekstrom Inc as a General Manager – US Operations & is based at Newark.

Student Activities
Mount Abu Leadership Camp: IBS Ahmedabad has institutionalized a unique leadership and team building exercise for every incoming batch known as Mount Abu Leadership Camp. During this camp adventure activities like rock climbing, rappelling, jungle trek, night walk will be organized besides management games which focuses on leadership and team issues.
